WHO
Chamber
of economy as a local association in Srem economy is a place for
economy gathering and consultation.
WHERE
Srem
district covers an area of 3500 km2, 310000 inhabitants with communities
of: Inđija, Irig, Pećinci, Ruma, Sremska Mitrovica, Stara Pazova
and Šid.

WHAT
Chamber's
activities:
- representation
of member interests to the governmental agencies,
- activities
connected with export-import,
- promotion
quality works and business,
- marketing
research,
- stimulation
for researching, innovation and developing,
- business
informing,
- good
business customs and morals.
WITH
Representatives
of companies elected on four years are organs of chamber. Elementary
criteria for elections are territorial, branch field and participation
in gross domestic products. Chamber's organs:
- Assembly
with 29 members,
- Main
council with 11 members,
- Control
council with 5 members,
- President
of chamber,
- Vice-president
of chamber.
HOW
Associations
are elementary way of working an chamber. There are many types:
- Association
of agriculture, food industry, waterpower engineering,
- Association
of forestry, industry for processing of lumber, printing industry.
- Association
of civil engineering, industry of building material, housing and
public services, and city planning,
- Association
of other industries,
- Association
of trading, hotel management, tourism, transportation and communications,
- Community
of private undertakers.
Every
association and community have council of 9-15 members which are
representatives of companies.
